Eastman To Debut Higher Impact-Resistant PPF Offerings

Eastman Performance Films, LLC, is proud to announce its latest innovation with higher impact-resistant film offerings added to its robust paint protection film (PPF) product portfolio, under the LLumar® and SunTek® brands. This innovation will offer the highest level of impact resistance in clear, self-healing paint protection films available in the market, using advanced film technologies and Eastman’s proprietary hydrophobic top coats. The new offerings are approximately 50% thicker and provide stronger protection for heavier impact areas than current LLumar and SunTek standard PPF, and will be rolled out to dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada in late spring 2019.

"Our latest innovation provides increased depth and breadth in an already comprehensive PPF portfolio,” says Darrell Reed, commercial director for Eastman. “Our dealers who’ve installed and tested this new product see great value in the product benefits for their customers. They also see the market differentiation it provides them in this competitive category. They’re very excited to begin offering this higher impact choice to their customers.”

This new technology for PPF was created to provide more protection for tougher environments. It’s for the more adventurous driver – one who goes off-road or on race tracks, as well as for the car owner who lives in an area with harsher weather and tougher driving conditions. It’s also ideal for vehicle areas that take the most abuse and are more prone to chips during everyday driving: rocker panels, hoods and bumpers. These new LLumar and SunTek offerings are backed by a manufacturer’s 10-year limited warranty.

Eastman continues making investments in innovation, in products as well as services, to quickly respond to the evolving needs of installers and vehicle owners around the world.
